What makes San Francisco so different and special than other cities?

have lived in San Francisco so long that i have
took it for granted and dont understand what makes it so special
Why should i consider myslelf lucky to have lived in San
Francisco for so long?

    I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN 415 SAN FRANCISCO!!!

    i love it.. i live in nyc now. but i will never forget sf.
    i loved the beach, the pier in the summer, all the clubs, the restaurants, the castro on halloween, gay pride, the shopping, haight street boutiques. it is just all around fun

    For itself but it is depended on how you feel about liberalism versus conservatism.

    The piers the piers the city is highly liberal too but im not sure if that appeals to you or not sure.
